Santa Isabel Hostel is located on Calle Santa Isabel, which takes its name from the school founded by Felipe II in the 16th century in honour of his daughter, Infanta Isabel Clara Eugenia.

It is a quiet area, although it is in the heart of Madrid, where you can find numerous tapas bars and restaurants, as well as museums, theatres, cinemas, monuments, and more!

There is a public car park at Calle Atocha 70, just 160 m from the hostel.

Hostal Santa Isabel is located very close to Madrid’s Golden Triangle of Art, where you will find three most important museums in the capital: Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (300m), Museo Thyssen Bornemisza (800m) and Museo del Prado (1.1km). Las Cavas de Madrid (1.3 km) is a typical tapas area with a wide range of cuisine. Shopping

If you want to visit El Rastro, the capital’s main flea market, it is just 1 km away. Gran Vía (1.5 km) is one of the most important streets in Madrid and one of the most visited due to its tourist, cultural and commercial interest. Calle Fuencarral is full of shops selling clothes and accessories, and nearby you will find major shopping centres such as FNAC and El Corte Inglés. Other nearby shopping areas include Preciados and Princesa. And if you’re looking for big names, the Barrio de Salamanca (3 km) is perfect for shopping, along with the Goya and Velázquez areas.
